First forest fires isolated in Penza region
Penza, 15 April 2015. PenzaNews. The first forest fires that had appeared with the onset of warm spring weather were isolated in the Penza region.
“On April 13 and 14, the unified phone service of the regional forestry received first reports of the forest fires on the territory of Kuznetsk and Serdobsk forestry. The fire has spread over the area of 1.02 hectares, including 1 hectare of woods. The firefighting involved forces and equipment of the Kuznetsk fire and chemical third-type station and the volunteer fire brigade of the Serdobsk forestry, as well as EMERCOM units,” the press service of the regional Ministry of Forestry informed PenzaNews agency.
The ministry stressed that the forest fires were liquidated the day after they appeared thanks to the timely response of firefighting forces and efficient work of professionals.
“The firefighters used fire trucks, small tractors, forest patrol complexes and plow trucks,” the ministry noted.
