Vasily Bochkarev visited Penza perinatal center construction site

Penza, 28 April 2015. PenzaNews. Vasily Bochkarev, governor of the Penza region, inspected the construction site of the perinatal center with a capacity of 130 patients under construction in the Burdenko clinical hospital.

Vladimir Khristolyubov, deputy minister of construction and housing in the region, reported on the state of construction.

“Design, construction and commissioning of the perinatal center is carried out by the state corporation ‘Rostech.’ [...] Our Penza company ‘Sigma’ works here as contractor,” he said.

According to him, the work is fully financed.

“At present, the company employs about 100 people,” the deputy minister said.

In his turn, Sergei Alshin, chief engineer of “CSK ‘Sigma’,” informed the governor that the perinatal center construction is lagging 15 days behind.

Vasily Bochkarev instructed to change the work schedule and arrange it in two full shifts.

“The working day starts at 6.00, and at 7.00 the construction site must be like a beehive till the evening,” he said.

The governor expressed hope that the perinatal center will be commissioned in June 2016.

“For example, by the Day of Russia, the holiday. It would be great. Money must be used well. The center should be a high-end one, the equipment must be purchased and installed on time, the staff must be trained to use it,” the head of the region stressed.

Currently, the crews are working on the basement level.

Preparatory and excavation work, concrete preparation, horizontal waterproofing and cement screed, reinforcement and concreting of monolithic concrete slab of the foundation, reinforcement of external walls and columns are fully completed.

Penza perinatal center will provide opportunities to assist in labor to 7,000-8,000 women annually, high-quality medical care for pregnant women, new mothers, to use efferent therapies, to develop advanced technologies in obstetrics and gynecology, to improve rehabilitation of children with low and extremely low birth weight, as well as to cope with other important tasks.
