Among the audience were members of housing companies, street committees, civil councils, assistants to City Duma deputies, NGO and charity foundation members, as well as workers of the city administration.
The event opened with a speech of the deputy Penza city administration head Larisa Ryabikhina, who announced the competition is already underway.
“The budget allocated 6 million rubles. We have four city areas, 1.5 million for each,” the vice-mayor clarified.
This is the first competition of this kind held by the Penza city administration in the last twelve years, said the speaker of the training session Oleg Sharipkov, executive director of Civil Union foundation.
“The allocated sum is very large. The regional government holds a similar competition, but they will give 3 million rubles,” he said.
During the training, Oleg Sharipkov explained how to correctly compile an application letter for the competition, encase the project in a logical form and correlate your ideas with actual potential.
“You have an application letter, an instrument of persuasion. Using the words written by you, you must make the city administration and the board of experts believe it is your project that is worthy of being financed. This is the most important task,” he told the audience, following it with a piece of practical advice.
