She said that all unoccupied children without adult supervision may end up in danger.

“I am asking the parents and all adults in the Penza region with an urgent request: please react to children who run the roads outside of pedestrian crossings or on red traffic lights, and watch the kids who go for a swim without their parents. Don’t let them play by an open fire or on a windowsill. Give them your attention, teach them the basics of safety and lead them by example both at home and in public,” Elena Rogova said.

She stressed that the adults are responsible for the lives and health of the children.

As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, the local media sources reported the news about two boys, aged 9 and 12, who were found drowned in the Penza region, on Tuesday, June 16. According to preliminary information, they had gone for a walk with their parents’ permission, but never returned back home. Their bodies were later found in a pond by Serp I Molot village.
