Penza, 15 October 2015. PenzaNews. The interregional science and practice conference “Problematic Issues of Narcology and Psychiatry” is taking place in Penza Heliopark Residence hotel on Thursday, October 15.

In a welcoming word, Galina Rozhkova, head of Health Protection and Sanitary Security Department of the Penza region Health Ministry, told the audience that the event is vital because of the relevant issues of the present day, and wished their work to bear fruit.

Throughout the one-day conference, practicing psychiatrists, narcologists, psychotherapists and psychologists will discuss the issues in diagnostics and treatment of depression, as well as new approaches to curing alcoholism.

Among other professionals, the conference is marked by the participation of Yuri Sivolap, professor of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology department of the Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, and Vladimir Mendelevich, director of the Institute for Research of Mental Health Issues.
