Penza, 26 November 2015. PenzaNews. The news agency PenzaNews remains the most cited local media source in the Penza region, says the data provided by Yandex.

According to the most recent update of the regional media websites citation rating in mid-November 2015, the citation index of PenzaNews agency is 1,500 points.

It is followed by the online news resource “Penza-Press,” part of the “Express” media holding, with 300 points less than the leader.

The website “PenzaInform” which is not an officially registered media currently has the citation index of 950 points.

Thematic Citation Index (TIC) – is a technology employed by Yandex to determine the credibility of Internet resources in a quantitative output, based on the quality of links from other websites rather than quality.

TIC is calculated using a proprietary algorithm that takes into account thematic content of the resource and the linking sites.
