Pig to get coronary stent implanted in aorta during Penza-based experiment
Penza, 10 December 2015. PenzaNews. The pre-clinical research and test center of “Rameev” Penza technopark will conduct an experimental surgery to implant a coronary stent in a pig’s aorta. The operation will take place on Friday, December 11.

The surgery will serve as a pre-clinical animal test of a new cutting-edge product developed by the engineers of the biomedical cluster.
This will be the first such operation in the Penza region.
The federal biomedical cluster key partner cooperation expert to the director of “Skolkovo” Evgeny Tkachenko plans to take part in the experiment, says the innovators website of the Penza region.
The pre-clinical research and test center of the Penza region biomedical cluster is based in “Rameev” technopark. It is equipped with the required rooms and dedicated equipment to conduct pre-clinical animal test of medical products.
