Penza, 17 December 2015. PenzaNews. Internal Services Major General Sergei Kozlov, head of the Penza region EMERCOM department, has taken part in an external meeting of the EMERCOM board of the Volga Federal District held in Kirov.

The meeting was dedicated to further development of fire departments and activities within the scope of agreements to redistribute fire safety responsibilities between the EMERCOM services and the VFD regions.

According to one of the reports, implementation of targeted mutual fire safety development programs in Volga Federal District regions includes construction and repairs of fire depots, increase of funding and supply, and shipment of modern equipment for the firemen.

However, the main topic of the external session was the fire situation in the federal district and preventive measures to prevent fire incidence increase.

In conclusion, Colonel General, head of the federal district EMERCOM headquarters, rewarded the best staff members and rescuers with medals and letters of gratitude, says the press service of the Penza region EMERCOM department.
