According to him, he saw drunk men who were arrested by police officers between the apartment buildings No. 24 and 26 on Pobedy prospekt.
“I was shoveling snow by the cafe at about 18.00. Noted two persons who walked by swearing,” the man said.
He pointed out that the men in question were walking in staggering fashion, without supporting one another.
After being asked about the reasons why he thought they were drunk, Pavel Ionov said that sober men would not have been swearing.
His testimony was preceded by that of a driver of the police car who was inside the vehicle during the arrest. The driver in question said he had seen Yuri Ushakov swinging his arms about and swearing, while his son was standing calmly, and when the two was put in the car, they smelled of alcohol.
