The officials inspected the buses and midibuses on instructions received from the mayor Victor Kuvaytsev.
Valery Kalenov, sales department head of the company “Russkie Avtobusy – GAZ Group,” held the presentation for the officials.
“The prices vary from 3.5 million to 12 million rubles. Our buses run on diesel and fuel gas. The distinguishing features of our vehicles are consistent in their technology and conveyor-assembled, they sport higher-reliability imported service parts and excellent quality. The vehicles are produced in the Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow regions,” he said.
In his impression after the review, Andrei Schevchenko pointed out that the final decision on the preferred bus supplier is yet to be made.
“We will be procuring a certain number of buses, depending on the financial profile of the procurement. Buying the gas fuel vehicles would be more profitable, as they will be used in an urban environment,” he pointed out.
Andrei Schevchenko reminded that the new buses will be assigned to the municipal institution “Car Transportation Enterprise.”
