Police officer injured in traffic accident by Penza to undergo rehabilitation course in Moscow
Penza, 11 June 2016. PenzaNews. The traffic police officer Sergei Balandin, who suffered grave injuries in a traffic accident by Penza on 1 May 2016 that led to death of two more police officers, will reportedly undergo rehabilitation in Moscow.

During the personal meeting with citizens in the presidential meeting office in the Zheleznodorozhy Penza city area administration hall, police colonel general Yuri Ruzlyaev, head of the Penza region Ministry of the Interior department, told the relatives of the police officer that the department currently does everything necessary to refer him to a medical institution in the capital for rehabilitation.
The regional Ministry of the Interior department will take it upon itself to prepare the paperwork and organize all other measures necessary to ensure soon recovery of their officer, says the department’s website.
As PenzaNews reported earlier, in the incident that occurred at the 600th km of the M5 “Ural” federal highway in the Mokshan area of the Penza region on Sunday, May 1, a Lada Kalina of an off-duty police officer collided with a traffic police Lada Priora.
Both police officers driving the vehicles died at the scene, while the second police officer from the Lada Priora was hospitalized with grave injuries.
Reportedly, the driver of the Lada Kalina steered at the opposite lane while driving from Penza towards Moscow, which led to the head-on collision with the traffic police Lada Priora.
