Penza, 12 June 2016. PenzaNews. The sudden downpour in Penza in the morning of Sunday, June 12, caused changes in a number of official events scheduled to coincide with Russia Day and City Day festivities.

In particular, the official ceremony dedicated to unveiling of the renewed regional Hall of Fame was moved to the Round Office of the regional government hall.

“Our celebrations today begin quite unusually […] but this is how the weather works,” the Penza region governor Ivan Belozertsev pointed out in his speech.

He stressed that the Hall of Fame features only the best companies and the most hard-working and high-achieving citizens.

“I would like to express great respect to heads of the industrial and agricultural enterprises that greatly contribute to development of their production, raise salaries, and move on to next objectives after achieving their targets,” the head of the region said.

Following the speech, Ivan Belozertsev presented congratulation certificates and rolling trophies to hall-of-famers.

As PenzaNews reported earlier, the 2016 update of the Hall of Fame features 20 enterprises and 20 more leading workers of the region.
