Staraya Potlovka village to hold parish food fair on July 3

Penza, 21 June 2016. PenzaNews. The supervisory board of the St. Martyr Anna’s Church that is currently undergoing restoration in Staraya Potlovka village in the Kolyshley Area of the Penza region stepped forward with an intiative to organize a parish food fair.

The fair will be held from 13.30 to 18.00 of Sunday, July 3.
The visitors will be able to buy fresh baked goods, village cheese and milk, field honey and other natural foods, as well as souvenirs.
The church supervisory board invites farmers and businessmen for cooperation.
The parish food fair is a part of a larger project that seeks to accelerate development of Staraya Potlovka historic village and nearby villages. This project, called “Volunteers Preserve and Transform the Village,” is organized by “Spasskoe Delo” non-commercial partnership for protection and preservation of cultural heritage.
“It seeks to help protect architectural artifacts, give a new impulse for development of culture and business with the locals and increase popularity of the location. Penza region citizens must come to see and fall in love with this wonderful place,” reads the announcement letter for the event.
According to it, the food fair is held to coincide with the 12th volunteer summer camp “Golytsino Summer.”
