Penza mayor urges workers to walk more often
Penza, 28 December 2016. PenzaNews. The head of the Penza administration Victor Kuvaytsev suggested that the people responsible for road maintenance in wintertime get out of cars more often in order to have a chance to assess the quality of the pavement cleaning after the snowfall.

“Even though the cleaning lasted the whole night, it was not done well. It is important to work in the way that it was not embarrassing to look into people’s eyes. The residents must go to work on clean pavements in the morning but today the pavements are full of snow almost everywhere. […] Get out of your cars and walk along these streets. You will see all the flaws at once,” he said.
The mayor noted that each worker of the corresponding department or factory should feel responsibility before the city residents.
According to Victor Kuvaytsev, the efforts of the heads of the Penza areas administrations are also not sufficient enough.
“Workers of the administrations should start their working days from the inspection of the attached territories in order to understand where cleaning is done by machines and street cleaners and where it is not done at all,” the press service of the Penza administration quotes the mayor.
