Company from Zarechny to build barrier on border of Crimea and Ukraine

Penza, 22 December 2017. PenzaNews. The Border Guard Department of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation on the Republic of Crimea signed a contract with the LLC Production and Installation Centre Start-7 from Zarechny of the Penza region for construction of almost 50-kilometre barrier on the boarder of the Crimean peninsula and Ukraine. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the materials of the public procurement website.

The amount of the contract was almost 204 million roubles with the initial (maximum) price of about 213 million roubles. The source of financing is the federal budget of Russia.

In addition to the company from Zarechny, the firms Rosstroi-64 from Saratov and StroiSpetsProekt from Krasnodar participated in the electronic auction.

The artificial obstacle with the length of 49.5 kilometres is intended for use as a part of complexes of technical means of protection of objects of various purpose as a physical obstacle and as an element of construction of means of detention of vibratory and radio-wave operating principle.

The height of the construction will be 2.1 meters, ground penetration – 30 cm.

The fence should be easily mounted and hinder attempts to climb over it.

The barrier should be ready in the first half of 2018.

The term of delivery of the good is before March 30, the work must be completed by May 25.
