Number of marriages in Penza region for 10 months increases by 13.3%, that of divorces – by 9.3%

Penza, 6 December 2021. PenzaNews. The number of marriages registered in Penza region in January-October 2021 increased by 13.3% compared to the same period in 2020; that of divorces increased by 9.3%. This was evidenced by data of Penzastat.

According to the regional office of the Federal State Statistics Service, there were 5 259 marriages in the first 10 months of 2020, while in the same period of 2021 there were 5 956 ones, which is 697 more.

The number of divorces increased by 274, from 4 037 to 4 411.

As PenzaNews reported before, the natural decline in population in Penza region in January-October 2021 increased to 12 968 people: 20 823 residents of the region died and 7 855 children were born.
