Penza female sportsmen won silver at Russian Shotokan competition

Penza, 3 March 2015. PenzaNews. Veronika Tazetdinova from Penza won the silver medal of the all-Russian Shotokan competition, showing the second best results in Shotokan Kumite discipline.
The competitions at the sports palace of the Moscow State Construction University was held along other high-level competitions that attracted representatives of our region.
In particular, Dmitry Borisov and Igor Batalin represented Penza on the All-Russian championship; Veronika Tazetdinova and Angelina Metalina stood for the region in the All-Russian competition; Anna Frolova fought for the prize in the countrywide bouts; and Alina Zuikova took part in the interregional competition.
“Joint teams from 43 Russian regions comprised of 937 sportsmen were involved in these high-level tournaments. The matches were closely watched by over 100 judges from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sevastopol, nine Russian republics, 7 Krais, 23 regions and one autonomous okrug,” Alexei Yeliseev, president of the regional Eastern Martial Arts Federation, board chairman of the Martial Arts Center, told PenzaNews agency.
