Former “Diesel” coach Andrei Sidorenko contender for year’s best Russian SHL coach

Penza, 18 May 2015. PenzaNews. The former coach of the Penza hockey club “Diesel” Andrei Sidorenko was included in the list of contenders for the title of the best Supreme Hockey League coach.

He shares the nomination with Konstantin Polozov of “Toros,” Neftekamsk; Andrei Razin of “Izhstal,” Izhevsk; Leonid Tambiev of “Saryarka,” Karaganda; and Alexei Zhdakhin of “THK,” Tver.
The list of contenders for the titles of best players in the 2014-2015 season also became public. It includes former goalkeeper of “Diesel” Ilya Andryukhov, along with Evgeny Alikin from “Molot-Prikamye” of Perm and Gleb Yevdokimov from “Zauralye” of Kurgan.
Individual awards will also be given to best defender, attacker and newcomer of the league.
“The winners in each category will be announced at the gala in Gelendzhik on May 29. Moreover, that evening people will learn the name of the winner of the Anatoly Firsov prize awarded to the best player of the 2014-2015 regulars of the players’ choice. The award will be given by Anatoly Firsov, son of the legendary forward player and triple Olympic Champion,” the press service of SHL informed PenzaNews agency.
