Penza motorcycle racer reaches top at all-Russian championship’s first stage

Penza, 24 August 2015. PenzaNews. Ivan Baranov, motorcycle racer of the sports club “Sura,” took the top position at the pedestal of the first stage in the all-Russian motocross championship held on August 21-23 at the Sakhzavod settlement racecourse in the Belinsky area of the Penza region.

The racer earned 50 points in 125cc junior class.

He was followed by Artemiy Nazarov from Belgorod with 44 points who received the silver medal, while Mikhail Kholodov from the Yamalo-Nenetsk autonomous region with 36 points got the bronze.

Another racer from the club “Sura” Daniil Balandin got into the top three in the 125cc young adult class: he shared a place on the pedestal with Ignatiy Lopatin from the Perm Krai by earning 42 points, next to Sergei Prytov from the Kostroma region who won 50 points.

Yet another racer from Penza, Alexei Zorin, ended up one place short of the top three in 85cc young adult class with 32 points. He was surpassed by Timur Petrashin from Chelyabinsk and Maxim Krayev from the Yamalo-Nenetsk autonomous region, who both earned 47 points, and Alexander Fedotov from the Nizhny Novgorod region with 40 points, says the website of the Motorcycle Federation of Russia.
