This time, the team has lost to “Dinamo” from Balashikha in a home match that took place on Monday, November 18, at the sports and entertainment complex “Diesel-Arena.”

The visiting team’s forward Alexander Gogolev has scored the first goal as early as on the 18th minute, following it up with another shortly after.

“Diesel” replied with a goal by Vladislav Vorobyev; however, Andrei Biryukov from “Dinamo” returned the favor in less than a minute, expanding the gap up to 1:3.

The Penza defenseman Vladimir Marchenko has successfully scored a goal in a lucky moment on the 36th minute of the match, but “Dinamo” reacted back quickly with a score by Stanislav Kondratyev.

In the final minutes of the match, the forward of “Diesel” Georgy Busarov managed to put a puck between “Dinamo”’s goal posts, but that failed to change the outcome of the game – the Penza team has lost, 3:4.

During the post-game press conference, the head coach of “Dinamo” Sergei Oreshkin congratulated his team with the win.

“Just like in the games before, today we failed in certain parts, but we pressed it to the end and showed our character. The leaders are beginning to become apparent. Some players had slipped slightly during the season, but now we have worked it through the end,” he clarified.

In turn, the head coach of “Diesel” Andrei Nikishov has praised the good beginning of the match and good play by Penza team in the third period.

“Again, we made a series of points that eventually held us from achieving the win. We’ve been talking a lot with the team over the past few days, watching game recordings, analyzing them. I think the results will show once we begin to fulfill the objectives better, at least 60-70%. There are mishaps, but all that is left is to push a bit harder and work it through to get over the deadlock,” the press service of the hockey club quotes the coach.

After 23 matches, the Penza “Diesel” is placed 24th in the tournament list with 22 points.

The team will play its next match on in St. Petersburg against “SKA-Neva” on Friday, November 20.
