Penza, 25 May 2016. PenzaNews. The Mordovia FSB law enforcement personnel has won the Volga Federal District handgun sharpshooting competition for the security agencies held in the Penza region on Tuesday, May 24.

They were followed by the Bashkiria and the Ulyanovsk region FSB departments, which won the second and third places respectively.

At the same time, the host region team was next to none in machinegun shooting.

“The first competition of such level was held in 2003 under the guidance of the FSB Special Physical Training center. As per the rules, each team features four men and one woman, who take upon six objectives related to handgun and machinegun shooting – two in sports shooting, two in speed shooting, and two in shooting from prone, kneeling and standing positions. This year’s competition brought eight teams from seven regions to the Penza region,” the press service of the regional FSB department informed PenzaNews.
