Grigory Kabelsky outlines next sports season objectives for Penza “Laguna-UOR”
Penza, 25 July 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza women’s mini-football club “Laguna-UOR” must get into the top three of the upcoming Russian championship, the head of the regional Sports Ministry Grigory Kabelsky announced during the press conference held on Monday, July 25.

Moreover, he explained, the club will be unable to recruit the strongest of players due to financial difficulties, which is why the team’s new head coach Yuri Novikov will be facing the objective of creating a team using the players training in the Penza region.
Discussing the reasons behind choosing Yuri Novikov as the new head coach, Grigory Kabelsky explained that this choice was the most convenient for everybody.
“When we had the problems with the team’s head coach, we asked Yuri Novikov [to take the position], but he was working with ‘GNK-Penza’ back then. He coached a men’s team, everything was stable and well with him. […] In our opinion, the team now has a very skilled coach from Penza. Perhaps he is the best coach we have in men’s mini-football right now, and we hope it will be the same in women’s mini-football,” said the head of the regional Sports Ministry.
