The competition is open for any contestants after a medical examination.

The event will be held in three age groups.

The Penza citizens will be competing with each other in 4-player teams.

The competition will be held as a single-elimination tournament under the official street basketball rules to date.

The contestants are welcome to register for the event at the Penza children and youth sports school No. 1 on August 11-12, says the website of the City Committee on Physical Education, Sports and Youth Policy.

This year’s “Orange Ball” competition will set off in 80 Russian cities at the same time. It is expected that around 55,000 basketballers will join the event.

Street basketball first appeared in the United States in the middle of the 20th century: two teams of three players each are competing for shooting the ball in the same single hoop installed on a half-sized asphalted outdoors basketball court.
