Penza city mayor appointment issue Duma session to take place on December 16

Penza, 11 December 2015. PenzaNews. The 16th extraordinary City Duma session that will feature the discussion on appointment of the new Penza city administration head will take place on Wednesday, December 16.

It is scheduled to begin at 10.00, the press service of the City Duma told PenzaNews agency.
The contest for the new Penza city mayor took place on Friday, December 11.
A total of seven persons submitted their documents for the contest. However, one of them – rights activist Yuri Voblikov – was declined participation.
The names of five of the contestants became known on December 9. Among them were the Penza city head Victor Kuvaytsev, the Leninsky city area administration head Yuri Chipchiu, the Zheleznodorozhny city area administration deputy head Oleg Denisov, the former director of “Gorvodokanal” Alexander Kiselev, Penza resident, 32, Mikhail Kozin, and another contestant who asked not to divulge his personal information. Later, the sixth candidate revealed himself to be Ilya Antropov, vice president of the regional civil organization for assistance to civil education and implementation of human Constitutional rights “Nashe Pravo.”
After the end of the contest committee, its head, deputy chairman of the City Duma Roman Petrukhin, announced that a total of three candidates will continue their run for the Penza city mayor office: the Penza city head Victor Kuvaytsev, the head of the Leninsky city area administration Yuri Chipchiu, and the deputy head of the Zheleznodorozhny city area Oleg Denisov.
