The remaining banner also features the logo of “The Best Winter City” brand, the number of the new year – 2015 – and a writing that says “Penza city administration,” along with an image that resembles a fir tree – another element bearing resemblance to the Moscow brand.
At the same time, Artemy Lebedev’s note on copyright infringement posted in his LiveJournal continues to attract new comments. Some of them are originating from Penza users.
“Good day to you, Artemy. I am a designer from Penza and I am very ashamed for our municipality… And why am I ashamed? Because you should have seen other ‘jobs’ by the gov designer. You must be an idiot to ‘fluke’ like that. I’m shocked, obviously… Both hilarious and disgusting,” wrote a user under an alias of “Diana S.”
As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, on Monday, December 29, the press service of the Penza city administration has publicly released a report from the director of “Penza city advertising service” Inna Revina. According to it, “the institution had no aim to copy someone else’s brand.”
It also says the template has been developed to promote socially oriented content and was not used for profit.
As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, the outburst of critique from Artemy Lebedev, a renown Russian designer, blogger and traveler, was caused by a photo made in Penza that depicts a billboard on Pushkina and Stavskovo streets crossroads. The billboard features a photo of a child, the words “Dreams come true!” the logo of “The Best Winter City”, as well as the number of the oncoming year (2015) and a signature: “Penza city administration.”
The head of information and analysis department of the city administration Elena Ovchinnikova at first refused to give phone comments to PenzaNews agency on this situation, referring to a possibility to submit a written request. However, she said that the head of Penza city administration Yuri Krivov has been informed of the billboard that features “The Best Winter City” logo.
