Penza, 23 May 2016. PenzaNews. The visitors of the 6th Jazz May music festival in Penza donated a total of 28,820 rubles for the construction of “House of Veronika.”

According to the VK.com social network group of the art hall “Kvartal Louie,” this sum covers for nearly a tenth of the total cost of bricks required for the construction of the center for young people with disabilities.

“We are grateful to all who did not leave us aside, to all who took interest and provided help! The circle of friends for our project has increased manifold!” reads the message published in the group.

As PenzaNews reported earlier, the visitors of Jazz May watched a videoreel about “House of Veronika” during the second day of the festival.

In her address to the audience, Maria Lvova-Belova, chairman of the Penza civil organization “Blagovest,” director of “Kvartal Louie” center for wheelchair users, idea inspirator for “House of Veronika,” explained that people can help fund the construction by buying fruit at the festival stand.

Moreover, visitors were able to contribute to the project through buying “House of Veronika” souvenir cups.
